I just updated my blog design, anybody noticed?
I just updated the typography and layout of my blog. The fonts, spacing, and a lot of other details have been tweaked,
Below is the older design.

I am also working on a completely new design and approach for my blog & portfolio. Any comments? suggestions? pretty please!
After the redesign I plan to post more regularly, atleast once a week. This will give me more time to write even better posts. I am also running out of ideas for new posts for the blog, I really need your help! , tell me what you would like me to write about so I can make this blog a better place.
To update you on the GUI Design Competition, the design is ready and is being coded by an excellent team at Fecoding . These people are awesome at coding and if I were you I would definitely give them a call for my coding needs.
One of my other projects named Xenon OS which is a light weight web based OS designed for netbooks. You can learn more about it here.
If you have not already heard, I joined twitter and am loving it. twitter.com/kumailht

That’s an excellent choice of font Kumail! I use Georgia primarily for my blog because I found that using newspaper-like font makes reading long articles or posts more bearable and that’s what people are familiar with. It is just pleasing to the eye in my opinion.
I’m in the process of redesigning my blog right now, which is going to be based off of a theme by WooThemes called “Paper Cut” [see it here: http://www.woothemes.com/demo/ ]. Of course, it is going to be heavily modified to suit my needs but I like the general layout.
It’s good to see that the GUI Design Competition is still up. I’ll keep up updated via Twitter or here on my OS progress when I get around to it.

Thanks, I particularly like georgia at large sizes.
The thing that bugs me the most is the DPI. I look forward to the day when we will have 300DPI screens
The theme is pretty nice and simple, although woothemes has much better themes if you look further, unless you are planning on coding it on your own.
The contest was much harder to organize than I originally planned, it all worked out well but it took a while.

Heh, it looks hella better than what WT could think of. I’ll send you a DM on Twitter of the redesign in progress [still coding]. I also created 6 different CSS templates for different seasons of the year.

Meh, I’m a graphic designer first and foremost so it’s almost like a *have* to, I can’t help it, lol. It also provides for more options.
