Photoshop CS4 can be run through WINE.
I just use Pixlr and Pixel. Also, the fancy effects that you mentioned have been availabale in KDE 4 for ages.

i havent tried ubuntu yet…but i find windows 7 quite better then xp n vista…..n i didnt find it slow either…

:”I expect a product that works without any addons or 3rd party products.” So I guess cars are out, huh. Tires, oil filters, sparkplugs, gasoline. Win7 WORKS without any 3rd party products. If you the linux user aren’t smart enough to not download a virus, go back to Ubuntu.

I`ve been using windows 7 on 2 PCs … 1 desktop pc and one laptop and what can i say … windows 7 is the best windows ever … it works fine on a 512Mb of RAM PC … looks really nice … and is faster and more stable than the xp version …

@karatchov I wrote this review 6 months back when the RC version was out and most of the issues are gone in the latest release. I totally agree with you, I have used 7 lately and I was dying to find something wrong with it but failed.
