The key to success! Really

You have probably seen a lot of ebooks telling you that they have the secret key to success, guess what, its NO secret because you already have it. Its time to discover it.

Success is defined as achieving a goal, whatever the goal may be. If you do not have a goal, you cannot possibly achieve success. A desire or an intention becomes a goal if and only if one activates an action for achieving it.

The KEY to SUCCESS

“To say the human brain is “amazing” is an understatement. Many believe it has the most complex organizational structure in the known universe.” source

It is important to realize that whatever your goal may be, you have the power to accomplish it using the most powerful tool which is your brain.

Don’t believe me, check this out. Truly Incredible.

The key to success is pathway which consists of a set of tasks which lead to your goal.

Steps towards successful planning and deployment:

You will need to plan out your goals and the tasks that lead to it.

Create a Goal

As i have mentioned earlier, without a goal you cannot achieve success. You might want a property or your private boat, some might want to become as famous as the founder of apple or Microsoft. There is no limit to what you can achieve, you are only limited by your creativity.

Expand your Goal into smaller tasks

Now that you know what you want, you will need to disintegrate the goal into smaller tasks. It is much harder to climb 10 steps at a time, but you can easily reach the top of the stairs climbing one step at a time. Your tasks should be manageable and realistic.

For example: Bill Gates of Microsoft had a goal - “a computer in every home”. When the company started out this seemed far fetched.
Now we need to break down the goal into smaller tasks. To accomplish this goal he would have to sell an operating system that was so affordable it could be purchased by everyone.
So the task here is to sell a cheap o.s and to make the o.s cheaper he would have had to sell large quantities.
To accomplish this task he partnered with IBM which allowed him distribute it effectively which increased market share and production thus lowering the price and accomplishing the goal.
PS: There is a lot to Microsoft’s success than mentioned above, it is only an example for illustrative purposes with no verification of the facts above.

Breaking down a larger goal into manageable parts helps us understand how to achieve it. To break down plans, Mind Mapping is an excellent tool to speed up the process. Read more about Mind Mapping here.

You should create project plans to get a clearer picture of your goals and tasks. To learn more about the importance of plans and how to create one, read this Wikipedia article.

THE “IDEA”

An IDEA is a thought or a concept which results in the mind as a result of mental activity. An IDEA succeeds because it is a solution to a problem.

In a popular sense, an idea arises in a reflex, spontaneous manner, even without thinking or serious reflection, therefore we tend to forget these Ideas.

It is very beneficial to note down every idea that comes to your mind.

save your ideas for the future

You may find the idea unnecessary at the moment you get it but you never know when it becomes the most valuable aspect of your goal. To save the ideas you will need a notebook in which you can record every valuable thought, make sure it is accessible at all times to avoid laziness.

THE PLAN

Implement

There is no end to planning an idea or a goal, but an idea has absolutely no value when it has not been implemented.

Before you go on with implementing your plan, make sure that all the tasks are achievable and the duration you have set for them are appropriate.

Plans are not forever

You have to realize that your plan is not perfect nor can you make a perfect plan. A plan will give you a rough idea of where you are headed and will need modifications and corrections on the way.

HEALTH

The most important part of the plan is your body and brain, if you are not healthy your brain’s performance will decrease and the simplest tasks may seem impossible.

Sleep is essential for your brain to function appropriately, staying up all night working on your idea will not help you a bit.
